The Book we love is full of joy,
from first page to the last.
We take delight and pleasure in it,
that nothing does surpass.
For what is joy, you might ask,
an emotion you might say.
But, on the spiritual side of man,
it’s special in every way.
A simple emotion it is not,
but a spark of God in thee.
A gift from the divine,
ours for eternity.
God's love for us, His gift of joy,
His wish that it be full,
our spirit soars in great delight,
our heart beats with it’s pull.
This gift of joy no man can steal,
no one can take away,
we give our thanks for this great gift
each and every day.
We share this spark inside of us,
this joy of God and man,
His joy remains a part of us,
all part of His great plan.
There is no greater joy then this,
none greater to be had,
to know that when you reach out to Him,
He’ll always take our hand.
