Away from life’s chaotic reach;
Waves lend its chorus of voices
The breeze murmurs a lullaby
Relaxing rhythms of nature’s speech.
Breathing in the salty spray of air,
Sand between toes, wind ruffling the hair;
Grains gleam like jewels in the sun
Colorful shells line the bank’s edge,
Sending up their secrets like a prayer.
Standing tall and regal, far from shore,
Turrets, towers, and regal door;
The castle built from lofty dreams
Tangible proof of worlds unseen
Drifting away to memories once more.
Unleashing deep-seated emotion,
The changing moods of the ocean
Sometimes calm, sometimes turbulent
White frothy foam reaches the coast
Ebbing and flowing with devotion.
Sliding down rocks, otters reach the bay
Dolphins sport other child-like play
Fish swim together in large schools
Between the vibrant coral
God’s splendid creation on display.
