And your world turns askew,
It’s time to ask the Lord in prayer
To peace in you renew.
From furnace fire to lion’s den
He rescued godly men,
And one who’d been entombed for days,
He brought to life again.
His power to save is limitless.
There’s naught he can’t control.
For all He’s done and all He’ll do,
He’s worthy to extol.
It might be hard to understand
When life goes all awry,
But God sees worries that you have
And knows the reason why.
What’s more, He understands your pain
For problems in the land,
Along with crises close to you,
And holds all in His hand.
All-seeing, knowing, caring One,
The God of all creation
Is Ruler of the universe
And Judge of every nation.
The paths before you He’ll make straight
And walk along beside you.
As both Protector and a Friend,
He’ll lead, as well as guide you.
