The sound of music all around:
With nature’s soothing sound of waterfall
To ocean ever constant in refrain,
From prelude of the thunder’s drum
To pitter pattering of rain,
From birds that tweet in morning light
To tree frogs’ husky calls at night.
With family’s love lyrics sung
By husband to his wife,
The lullaby new mother croons
To one she’s given life,
While siblings work in unity
To blend their song in harmony.
With church’s hymns and choruses,
Our offerings of praise,
A joyful noise to holy God,
We grateful voices raise
For mercy, love, and faithfulness
And His forever promised rest.
What joy it is to be blessed by
The sound of music all around,
And best of any sound at all
In our hearts can be found—
It’s God who has delight for us
And His voice singing o’er us.*
