Please let the dark cloud lift from deep within; that which clutches fast to my senses and blinds me to the beauty of your creative hands.
Friends and family stretch out loving hands, restoration and healing should come forth from their touch, but my hands are weak and I lose the grip and slide deeper into morose of soul – surely it is all my fault.
Help me find lightness that will lift the dull weight that drags me away from my rescuers. Please let me reciprocate the love shown and release those hands to a looser hold.
Your Word's meanings seem to have a shrouded covering that I cannot break through, and your love is too far away for me to find. I have not the strength to plough to new discoveries of your truths.
Help me again to find the warmth and lightness of resting my head upon your breast.
I do not know nor can I comprehend how I wandered from your light into depression of the soul. I long to find your strength to help me lift the shrouded curtains to extinguish this dullness of soul by your blinding light.
In my helplessness bind up the lesions of the soul from which my insight, hope and light escaped.
It was your garden, 'of a truth'! A place of rest and refuge from the crowds. It lost its charm on that dark night when infested by the devil's crowd. Your dark soul of the night touches the depth to where I may sink.
Bring me your resurrection morn!
I will have hope though be it may be slight. Oh, reinforce my resolve to struggle through and force the clouded sun to ray its light across my weeded way. Step on my path 'O Light and Water of Life' and push back the unwelcome tide of the polluted and muddied swamp.
Yes, I believe in you, help me to lift my soul to higher ground.
I remember when we walked in sweet communion. I will encourage my soul to hold your hand again on the unknown way. The way that is safer than a known way when walked yoked to you. I thank you that when going through the shadow valley you will always be with me, and I shall now hold fast to your promise that you forever accompany me on life's journey.
