Nestled in the warmth of the womb,
Inspired by the breath of the Puzzlemaster.
Growing, feeling, hearing, tasting, smelling,
Moving within the limits,
And then the boundaries change.
Expelled in to cold and brightness,
New taste of Mother's milk.
I meet the family pieces of my puzzle.
Grasping, rolling, sitting, crawling, walking,
My exploration tests the limits
As the boundaries expand.
Engaged in curiosity,
Needing to know how and why,
I learn of the Puzzlemaster,
Grasping that I need His presence in
My puzzle, His puzzle,
Acknowledging the boundaries He has set.
Each passing year includes
New pieces placed in His design.
I sometimes seek to shift the scene,
Going my own way for a time,
Molded in to place once more,
As I yield to the Puzzlemaster's touch.
Excruciatingly, my puzzle flips and fractures,
Near and far the pieces of my life.
I must adapt, but don't know how.
Grasping pieces that have seemed to shift in shape,
Metamorphosing, familiar, yet unfamiliar,
All borders rearranged.
Enveloped in confusion,
Normalcy a distant memory,
I cling to the One unchanging piece,
Gripping for equilibrium.
My scene will only stabilize
As I keep connected to Him as my centerpiece.
. . .
Someday my puzzle will be complete,
One more piece for the Puzzlemaster to place
Lovingly, to complete the design He had in mind,
Vivid in hue,
Exquisite in beauty,
Designed for eternity.
