Excellent story. Showing adult repentance over our obsessions which could be seen as sin if we let our desires become as graven images in our hearts. As the main character pointed out she was living, or trying to live, her ideals about life through her daughter. Instead of accepting her child imperfections and all.

Excellent story for the topic. I think many parents have a hard time in accepting the fact that their children are not turning out the way they hoped they would. But I loved the way the mother finally turned tail and put the matter right. Great job with this.

I loved the mother's understanding at the end of the story. I'm sure her apology will long be remembered.

I was so pleased that your MC stepped up and returned to the spirit of the day for herself and her little girl.
