Christ on a tree limb cross.
A crown of thorns adorned,
While agony softly cries.
I see the blood upon His body.
Rivulets like rubies dripping.
Awash a tortured body,
Tears of salt water, burning.
I see His mother weeping,
Beneath His feet on the ground,
As He suffered so mercilessly.
Her shattering, helpless heart.
I see Him succumbing to the pain,
Finally, He sleeps on earth.
Peace floats all around Him,
As the storm comes rolling in.
I see the blackened, thundering clouds,
Surround the hills and dales.
The enveloping sky opens,
His body rises to Heaven,
I see His followers reaching out,
To bring Him back to them.
They sob for their only hope,
Not understanding God’s reason.
I see Him descending from above,
To celebrate why He left.
He makes everything new again.
Rebirth cries out, “He lives!”
I see the truth today,
As I give my heart to Him.
His purpose becomes so very clear,
His death is my salvation.
I see His beauty in my dreams.
My spirit claims His Rapture.
A crown of gold this time,
On a white horse warrior,

I like the progression of revelation. (Isn't that the way of Christian growth?)
