Mary at His feet,
Children in his arms—
Whom did Jesus love?
Lepers in a group,
Long bleeding woman,
Daughter of a rich man--
Whom did Jesus heal?
Common fishermen,
Rich tax collector,
Doubter, betrayer, woman at the well--
Whom did Jesus call?
Zacchaeus , down from his tree,
Righteous Pharisee,
Confused men on Emmaus Road—
With whom did Jesus eat?
Lawyers in the temple,
Seeking multitudes,
Disciples twelve—
Whom did Jesus teach?
Prostitute, adulterer,
Murderer, sinner
Thief on the cross—
Whom did Jesus forgive?
Israelite,
Gentile,
Heathen,
For whom did Jesus die?
Black sheep, white sheep,
Rich man, poor man,
Church member, Sunday school teacher,
Samaritan, Pharisee,
Free, incarcerated,
Sinner, seeker, you, me…
Jesus says, “Come unto me ALL that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
For whom?
ALL!
