That bloom ‘neath sun’s glow,
There’s bright coloured planting
For shared public show,
There’s fragrant rose gardens,
Scent heady and strong,
There’s shady beech woodland
Where bluebells belong,
There’s lonely alp ranges
Is’lated and still
Where flowers cling with peril
On steep rising hill,
Though none see their lovelinesss
They beautify
The lonely alp ranges
As seasons pass by.
There’s sun-blanched bare desert
Where cacti rise high
Surviving the heat
‘Neath a cloudless blue sky.
A miracle wonder
Their sharp spiky thorn
Bursts open, revealing
A blossom, full-borne.
Individual and varied
Each flowers where they lay
In their chosen place,
Where they call out and say ......
We bloom where we’re planted,
The choice has been made:
The dry sunny spot
Or the dark cooler shade,
A bountiful garden
O’erflowing with flower,
A barren dry desert
With scarce a cool shower,
A lonely coast cliffside,
Remote and unseen,
A dense darkened forest
Eclipsed ‘neath growth green.
Individual and precious
We’ve all been designed
For the place of our planting,
We grow, bloom and find
That we’re fitted, equipped
For our part of the ground,
So, we bloom where we’re planted,
There flourish, abound.
There’s days full of bounty
And colour and light
Jam-packed with much busyness
Morning till night.
There’s room-bursting days
Full of friends, family,
When the walls of the home
Shake with activity.
There’s periods of quietness,
Stillness and rest,
Their hours of forced loneliness,
The empty bare nest.
There’s days of great service
For my Lord and King,
When I visit, I witness,
I serve and I sing.
There’s days laid aside
On a sick-bed, in pain,
When I wonder if ever
I’ll serve Him again.
There’s hours of struggle
Whilst learning to pray
And learning to hear
The great Gardener say.....
Come, bloom where you’re planted,
The choice has been made:
The dry sunny spot
Or the dark cooler shade,
A bountiful garden
O’erflowing with flower,
A barren dry desert
With scarce a cool shower,
A lonely coast cliffside,
Remote and unseen,
A dense darkened forest
Eclipsed ‘neath growth green.
Individual and precious
You’ve been so designed
For the place of your planting
So grow, bloom and find
That you’re fitted, equipped
For your part of the ground,
So, bloom where you’re planted,
Grow, flourish, abound.
