I’m somebody, who are you?
Are you somebody too?
Then there’s a pair of us – do tell,
They’ll worship us, you know.
How dreary to be nobody!
How obscure, like a fog
To plead your name the livelong day
On an insignificant blog.
I’m an actor, who are you?
Are you an actor too?
Then there are two of us – let’s tell
The masses how to vote, you know.
How important our opinions,
How chic our dialogue
To lead the nation’s forming youth
All starry-eyed, agog.
I’m famous, who are you?
Are you famous too?
Then there are more of us – don’t quell
The shallow life we know.
How dreary to have character
How ‘yesterday’ the slog
That preaches higher power
To unsuspecting dogs.
I’m faithless, who are you?
You’re faithless too?
Then there are more of us – don’t tell,
Untouchable, you know.
How weary to be humble,
How little, like a frog
To trust a Name the livelong day
With an admiring bog.
Job 20: 6 – 9 (NIV) Though the pride of the godless person reaches to the heavens and his head touches the clouds, he will perish forever, like his own dung; those who have seen him will say, ‘Where is he?’ Like a dream he flies away, no more to be found, banished like a vision of the night. The eye that saw him will not see him again; his place will look on him no more.

I loved this entire piece. Great significance, and a profound message here. I think you made Emily smile and made her wonder why she "didn't think of it first!"
Great job...Thanks.
God bless~
