Opinions at best polar
Experience of God
Varied
We became a prayer trio
Misha, Henry and I
Prayer requests gleaned
From newspaper and radio and
Apparently random conversations
The granny tax and
Mr McFlinty’s triple bypass
We prayed together
For God to rule
Misha, Henry and I
Misha lost her job
Surplus to requirements
She felt side-stepped and
Abandoned
Struggling on benefits
We prayed together
For open doors and new opportunities
Misha, Henry and I
Henry’s son
Lured by fame and fortune
Fell into the wrong work ethic
Too busy for faith
Jesus – just someone he used to know
We prayed together
For a lost son to come home
Misha, Henry and I
I called it a day
On fertility treatment
I mourned my empty womb
And tried not to blame
Anyone
We prayed together
For fruitfulness and harvest
Misha, Henry and I
Names out of a hat

Opinions changing
Experience of God
Not so varied at all
We still pray together
Misha, Henry and I

I've always loved how prayer can unify people who would never be good friends under normal conditions, but we find that our connection to God binds us together. And really that's the most important thing that we have in common.
