Nothing was I ere He found me,
Hungry and lost and mired in sin.
He called out my name and He saved me
And carried me home to the King
A home in His palace I'm granted,
Garments of white to cover my skin.
The stains are removed forever,
Washed by the hands of the King.
He loves me, though I don't deserve it,
Unworthy and poor, yet forgiven,
What blessings He pours upon me,
Being a child of the King!
I bow my heart to my Master;
My feet ready to fulfill His plan;
I offer my all with hands open wide;
My life I give to my King.
With eager eyes, always upon His face.
Watching for only a nod from Him;
Grateful and willing to do my best,
Faithfully serving my King,
Humbly I'm poised at His royal feet,
Content to stay close and learn of Him,
Waiting, listening for a task to do,
Wanting to serve my King.
Secure and loved, never to stray,
With nothing of me and all of Him,
I rest in the care of my Saviour,
Loving and serving my King.
