I love you
Nothing can take your place
Or erase
The warmth of your embrace
You rule from shore to shore
Until time shall cease
In summer
You warm the sand with a kiss
Of brilliance
And turn up the heat
On waters deep
In winter
On snow capped mountains
You melt the peeks
When hearts grow cold
From earthy cares
Your steadfast rays are there
For all to share
No matter where
Until I am no more
You’re my light
From the heights
Of heaven, shine bright
My joy
My delight
Your wealth unmeasured
A treasure I cherish
I stand watch for you
At daybreak
When nights are long
After my storm
I wait for you
To bring calm and sight
You penetrate my outer shell
Reach deep
To warm, to right
The city of my soul
When sorrow finds
A hiding place
You are the star
That lights my day
You are
Until life shall end
My peace, my friend
Yet, not mine alone

Great poem. I enjoyed it from start to finish.
