Amen and Amen! Brilliantly worded - an amazing poem. Makes me think of Paul's words in Romans 7:14-24. Praise God for verse 25!
This poem speaks volumes. It evoked such a sadness that I too often can relate to.
Awesome poem. It flows really well and I love the message. Someday we'll be free of our flesh!

Exquisite poetry! I love this phrase, "But deep within this mortal shell -- Entwined in earth’s debris," I appreciate all your Biblical allusions, like "two walking / agreeing" and "dark reflection" as well as many others.
This is a beautiful way to present our problem--not to be completely solved until eternity. Wonderful word choices and placement.
I am so grateful I was able to read your offering. And that's what I felt it was: an offering of your innermost soul's struggle with our humanity. This needs a far wider audience, my friend. It is a beautiful, well-crafted and rich work of art.

Great take on this week's topic. We can all relate to that scoundrel "me" you have creatively identified.
