The sun was up high, the day well past its dawning
Her husband relaxed in the shade of the awning
And oogled her curves with bikini adorning.
She swam past the reed beds with weaver nests clinging
So tightly, and swaying like little bells ringing
With joy at the baby birds' earliest singing
When parents returned with the grubs they were bringing.
She sat on the rocks, heard the fish eagles calling
Out harshly before they would dive, sharply falling
With talons spread, onto the water, then hauling
Their prey to the trees. To eat fresh – never palling.
There came a sharp end to her calm lakeside idling:
She caught sight of the form of a crocodile gliding
Across the still water, and skillfully sliding
To snap any creature not suitably hiding.
So there she stood, barefoot, bikini-clad, dripping;
And thanking the Lord she'd avoided a nipping –
But wondering how to get home without tripping,
And into Croc's watery lair newly slipping.
Her gallant knight, hearing her shout, began jumbling
Clothes in a knapsack, and then struck out stumbling
Over the rocks, to where she remained, mumbling
Praises to keep her from utterly crumbling.
Thus she returned to where children were wating
To hear she was done with her crocodile baiting.
They gave her new sport a most dangerous rating –
Then invented a game: 'Mr. Croc's salivating!'

Amazing and very clever of you to pen a poem about such a scary event. Does this mean there is 'verse' to come?
Beautiful !
