Oh no. Not again. Lady Owner is getting out Vroom Vroom Sucking Monster. I hate that thing. Usually I cower in the corner or run to the other room. But not tonight! Tonight, I shall defend Lady Owner against Vroom Vroom. It will not win this time. You just watch.

Vroom Vroom starts its angry cry. It grabs hold of Owner and does not let go. I want to cower and run. But I must not. No, I will not. I just need to time this correctly. Wait for it.... wait for it... Now!

Ha! Sneak attack. What? It sill lives? Fine. I'll try again. I pounce, but it continues. Owner laughs. Oh no. Now Vroom Vroom is controlling her mind. How could she possibly laugh while that monster lurks? Mind control is the only explanation.

Maybe if I bark, it will distract Vroom Vroom and it will release its clenches against Lady Owner. I take may stance in front of it and let out my loudest bark. Nothing. Next, a growl. Still nothing. Vroom Vroom is tougher than I thought.

I once again attack, and bite its nose. I grab hold for a bit, but it escapes. Now Lady Owner is angry. Yeah, you have every right to be angry. Huh? You're angry with me? Mind control again, I'm sure of it.

I decide to take a different approach. Maybe a sneak attack from the back. Its tail taunts me. Wait a minute.... wait a minute... what's this? I follow the tail as it slithers around, until... Could it be? I think I have found the power source. If I can just disconnect it, it will release its deadly grasp. I must time this perfectly so I maintain the element of surprise. I grab hold and hear the vicious growl die. YES! Success!

What? Bad dog? Me? What do you mean? I saved your life!

Oh I love this! You had me giggling and even snorting a time or two. I'm sure by now you're banging your head and have spotted sill instead of still. (I figured the dog ate the T) This is such a creative take of the topic. Dog owners everywhere will be chuckling over this delightful piece. You did a splendid job!

This is really funny and entertaining. I thought it was the vaccum cleaner that frightened the dog and the dog disconnected the power source. Seeing the above comment makes me think I could be wrong. But whatever, I love your style!

Such a cute story. It brings back memories of the dog that I had while growing up. She would bark at the vacuum and then run and hide. It was hilarious. Great job on this.

We have dogs therefore I thought this was hilarious. I just read it out loud to Mike and he laughed out loud obviously enjoying it just as much as I did. He likes to say that all a burglar has to do is come in our home with a vacuum and he can really clean up--pun intended.

Ha-haha-haha!! :D What a perfect name for the vacuum cleaner--Vroom Vroom Sucking Monster! I felt sorry for the poor poochie at the end, but had a great time laughing at his antics his thoughts all the way through this delightfully amusing story! Great job!

I can just picture the puzzled look on the dog's face at the close, but this was such a lot of energy and fun all the way through.
