Back in 1777,
Flew o’er a land richly blessed
By our Father God in heaven.
Its colors weren’t significant--
The red, the white, the blue;
But over years tradition
Gave new meaning to each hue.
Red stands for hardiness,
The white for purity;
Blue--vigilance, perseverance--
Justice prevails for you and me.
Are we ever watchful,
Are we strong in our resolve?
Or do we turn the other cheek
While others get involved?
Are our faces turning blue
As we hold our Christian breath?
It’s time to save our nation--
Don’t you see its facing death?
We need to resurrect the blue
With utter perseverance,
We need to speak from spirit hearts,
To void all evil interference.
We must endure for God’s sake
And spread His message clear,
Justice here is dying--can’t
You hear the wicked cheer?
Leaders at all levels
Crave to sabotage our cause;
Muddying founding values
And corrupting what once was.
Color my emotions blue
If we should fail the test,
Follow Truth, in armor clad,
For God, let's give our best.
Let us not be silent
But rally where we may,
Because dear friend, He’s calling--
Will you answer Him today?
