Oh Lord, Oh God
There is none like You
Oh Lord, Oh God
There is none like You
You rise from your slumber without thought and inhale another breath filled with the air I created, not once considering the perfect balance within it that sustains your life. The curtains part; the sun I created shuts your eyes as its warmth floods your soul. You pause but a moment for the fog to burn away in your head as you stumble into the new day. Yet even the rocks know that in My wisdom I cradled the earth in its perfect orbit where the seasons would nurse life to the earth.
There is none in the heavens
None on the earth
There is none on the mountains
That compare to Your worth
You rush out into another day in your life, fighting for the gains that measure weightless of hope while I watch a man who has forgotten his inheritance. His Father owns the cattle of a thousand hills. The son of a King stands in a bread line waiting for a portion that comes from the fields of his Father. Why does he choose to be less than who he is?
There is nothing in the ocean
Nothing in the air
I am the God who fills heaven and earth. With all the devices and imaginations of man, none can see far enough nor travel far enough to find the borders of my glory, for I have no beginning and no end because I am the Beginning and End of all things. My omnipotence cannot be measured. Yet in all of this I chose you to be My dwelling place, to make My abode in you; you who base your religion on what you put your hands to. But I am not the God who desires your art; I am He, the Father who longs for your heart.
Lord to You
Nothing can compare

Wiping my tears, I walk away from the stairs of the sacrifice of Cain, and find the door of Your grace. I stand on the steps of the sanctuary and gaze across the land. Fields of grass sway in the harmonic breeze of creation. The trees’ branches are stretched forth to the heavens. With my ears of understanding I hear the song of the sparrow, Wherefore, thou art great, O LORD God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.*
I join creation lifting up holy hands to my God and move to the rhythm of the song that burns in my heart at this moment. And with trembling lips I sing.
