This story made me grin, which is what every good embarrassing story should do. Usually those moments are funny as long as they aren't happening to you.

The beginning is a bit weighed down with details the reader doesn't really need to know, but once it got past that part, it picked up more.

I really liked the man with the whimsical smile. What a great lesson for us all. I know I personally worry about what others think way too much. I rolled my eyes at the Do you know who I am? But it was a good eye roll filled with pity for the self-important woman. Being a daughter of God's is way more impressive than the mayor's daughter. There's more than one lesson in this story. Great job.
