“What do ya think, Mr. G? Can this be repaired, or do I just trash it?”
“Well, Mrs. B, let me take a look. The wood is good quality, and even thought it has suffered some damage, I think it is worth saving. Let me take it home with me and think about it. I will try to bring it back next week if I can fix it.”
“Thanks, Mr. G. I appreciate your help and opinion.” (Isaiah 1:18)
The next stop was S. Mather’s place. Mr. G thought, “Why does she throw away so much food? Some of it has never been opened and could be donated to someone who needs it.” Someday Mr. G planned to find out what was behind all that waste. (Matthew 25:37-40)
John T’s trash was always so neat and tidy. There are no problems there. He really knew how to deal with trash; nice bags, no leaks, and no fallout. It was a pleasure to pick up his trash. (James 5:15, 1 John 1:9)
Mr. G could not say the same about Herold F’s trash. He never cleaned out his containers and boy, oh boy, did they stink! Everyone could see his trash. Mr. G knew he had to be careful when dumping his cans as the bags inside were usually in bad shape and were spewing all over the place. What a mess! (1 Timothy 5:24)
Sherry B’s trash was a combination recycles and real trash. She tried to be neat and tidy, but for some reason, sometimes her bags were stuffed too full and leaked. Other times she did not have very much trash at all. You could tell when her mind was on everything else except dealing with her trash. (2 Peter 1:9)
Her neighbor, Mrs. D was so particular. In fact, she was so nosey, that she tried to tell everyone else how to deal with their trash, but was not that great taking care of her own. (1 Peter 4:15)
Mr. G’s son, Mr. J, had spoken to him many times about people on his route, because, after all, he was really the one who stood in the gap dealing with all the trash. He decided what to do with it all. He would either recycle it and get all the good he could out of it, or else, burn it all up. There was sometimes he just melted it down and purified it and put it that huge lake so everyone would just forget it. (Matthew 1:21, 1 Peter 1:7, Micah 7:19, Psalms 79:9, Hebrews 8:12)
Mostly, he just took care of it all, so no one ever had to deal with it again. He is very forgiving and does not complain about the people’s shortcomings or messiness. Although there were incidences when he had to speak to the customers in person to help them know what to do with their trash. Other times Mr. J would send HG to remind people to throw away their trash. (John 16:7-8, Revelation 3:19)
Mr. G smiled as he thought how great it was to have such a wonderful son. He was so good at teaching people how to deal with all kinds of trash. We all need to trust and obey and be thankful for garbage man. (Acts 3:19)

Good use of scripture and well written. Thanks for sharing.
With a little tweaking, this could be a great devotional.
