Lucifer was as persuasive as he was beautiful. He commanded a large group of us even leading us in worship to the Most High. I believed in him. I suppose, I had begun to worship him. I mean, the Most High believed in him, why shouldn’t I?
How could one be so magnificently created, so gifted, so powerful be cast out, and what about all of us who followed him? Cast Out! What did the Most High have planned for us in this new land? It was about then that Lucifer call the first meeting with all the angels. My world—fell--apart.
Lucifer had been transformed into a ferocious, raging beast spouting vile curses and evil accusations against the Most High. I had no experience with such vulgarity. I was shaken to my core.
So began my journey as a fallen angel. Centuries have passed and my existence has depended on how cleverly I stayed on the fringes of the evil activities Lucifer engaged us in daily. I could not accept my fate. After all, I had followed the brightest most powerful being in heaven. Then Most High turned against me, because of Lucifer. How could I have known how deceptive he was? Why should I be punished for what he did?
One day Lucifer visited me while I was alone. His uncontrolled violence caused me to draw away, but then something happened inside me that I cannot explain. I exploded! Rage flowed through me like white hot lava toward Lucifer and toward the Most High.
The heat we generated inflamed the air around us—we breathed it in—but we were not consumed. No longer did I look angelic. Distorted by the inferno, my features resembled liquid hatred, and flames and smoke roared out through my nose and mouth.
Lucifer told me to call him Satan. He said he ruled the land where we existed. He said his power was the greatest in this land. He told me his mission was to devour all mankind and then he said, “God will not stop me!”
My confidence grew in Satan, again. I felt bonded to him, although his beauty had changed from his former appearance of an angel of light. I saw more than just beauty in his new appearance. He still commanded my allegiance.
From that day forward, I was no longer on the fringe. I proudly took a position that worked well with my former demur personality. I was disguised well, and it allowed me to deceive earthlings into blaming someone else for all their bad behaviors. After all, God had allowed me to be deceived, hadn’t he?
Being a fallen angel has its perks. I am perceived as someone exciting, someone in control, someone with everything going their way. But, in reality, I was Lava—molten rage flowing in the earth doing my work.
