Father: “Why is your face downcast, my Son?”
Son: “I know better, Father, but I’m disappointed that many of those who are Mine are looking to idols.”
Holy Spirit: “You’re speaking of the ones who worship the god of ‘climate change’?”
Son: “Yes. It’s understandable that unbelievers would bow down to such falsehood, but believers! It’s such a shame.”
Father: “God made man in His own image, yet mankind accepts the word of so-called scientists who say there is no God, that our Creation is that which should be worshipped. I share your disappointment, Son.”
Holy Spirit: “As I search men’s hearts blowing like the wind throughout the earth I know their rebelliousness and disobedience. Most of mankind doesn’t know right from wrong, up from down, good from evil.”
Son: “The foolishness distresses Me. Man thinks he can control all aspects of his life. He believes that even that which he creates is better than anything planned and purposed by the mind of God.”
Holy Spirit: “Especially since he doesn’t believe we exist.”
The Son sighed deeply.
Son: “How true.”
Father: “We gave man great intelligence and a highly penetrating mind to discover many of our mysteries.”
Holy Spirit: “I’m reminded of Proverbs 25:2 that we gave to Solomon: ‘It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings.’ We want their scientists to make known much that have hidden, but not to distort, falsify, and deceive for their own purposes.”
Son: “Father, have You ever regretted allowing Lucifer to be prince of the air and rule the earth?”
Father: “It is only for a brief moment in all eternity. Besides, then You couldn’t have stepped into the world to die for it and demonstrate our perfect love.”
Son: “And the Holy Spirit wouldn’t live in the hearts of all believers as a seal of our love.”
Holy Spirit: “Without Your sacrifice on the cross and resurrection, My work of giving good fruit and bestowing miraculous gifts would be limited.”
Father: “What do You recommend we do to turn people from this silly notion of man-made climate change? Should We?”
Son: “I’m thinking computers.”
Holy Spirit: “Man uses them extensively to promote this climate change idea. He uses them to model and predict many things, including what the climate was in times past and what it will be in the future.”
Son: “Except that he manipulates the data, producing charts and graphs that lie and are meaningless. Then he tries to coerce others to go along with the deception. It distresses Me that believers also fall into that trap.”
Holy Spirit: “I have an idea. How about some real climate change? What if the little finger of God were to cleanse the world and eliminate man’s reliance on electronic intelligence?”
Son: “This is a thought. Father, You could touch the sun and produce a burst of electromagnetic impulses that would destroy all computers and detoxify mankind of its digital infatuation.”
Father: “It’s tempting, but I think I’ll pass. Our plan of judgment upon the world is already set. It will come as we have ordained from the beginning. In the meantime, until the time is right, we will continue to love all peoples of the earth. We’ll continue to shower them with grace and kindness so that all men will come to repentance and believe in God, the Father, through the Son who died that all who trust in Him might have eternal life.”
Each finished His tea and went about the work of the kingdom.
