My corpse having lived for all its worth,
But I don't worry about my fate,
My soul has no expiration date.
John 3:16 promises me life,
Though in the past my sins were rife,
Death will never come my way,
My soul will survive judgment day.
Traveling towards eternity,
With Jesus Christ eternally,
Rising up to greet Him gladly,
I'll not be leaving this life sadly.
Many fear the end of living,
As running out of all breath's giving,
Take comfort now you all who grieve,
Christ will surely grant a reprieve.
As much as I love my existence now,
My body will die someday somehow,
But my glad spirit will never expire,
To heaven it will simply retire.
Today is mine to live and love,
Tomorrow belongs to the One above,
My spirit will fly through heaven's gate,
My soul has no expiration date.
