Right now, one out of every three people in the world has some form of cancer or the early stages of a cancer in their bodies.
“Eden—please turn off the television.”
This epidemic is expected to double in the next fifty years.
“Okay, mommy.”
“Thanks sweetie. I’ll come and help you with your school project in a little bit. You can keep workin’ on it. I need to finish folding the wash.”
“Okay. Mommy… can I ask you a question?”
“Sure, any time. What’s going on? Did paint drip on your pants again?”
“No…no. What is cancer, mommy? My friend told me today her dad has cancer.”

Drip… …Heart Disease.
The economy seems to be on a never ending downward spiral, as congress and the president wrangle with solutions.
“Please turn off the television.”
Today, the president signed a historic bill which includes a provision to start taxing churches.
“Okay—turning it off. It’s all bad news anyway!
“What are you reading, dear?”
“I just got a text alert…wow.”
“What does it say?”
all-church txt/email alert: urgent prayer request my grampa was rushd to the hospital with heart attack pls pray for healing
“Who sent it?”
“The pastor’s granddaughter sent it. I am texting her back—wait, she sent a second message.”
update: my grampa pastor rick is in a coma at memorial hosp pls pray
“I agree with her. Let’s pray, in Jesus’ Name.”

Drip… …Stroke / Depression.
Overall, the debilitating effect on a person who suffers a stroke causes depression.
“Wait—don’t turn this off. My friend’s aunt just had a stroke.”
Many stroke victims contemplate suicide. The sudden frustration of not being able to do what a person has always been able to do is traumatic. Oftentimes they are neglected by family and friends, who think their loved one is a strong because they survived the trauma.
“Wow… I never knew that. I better call my friend right away.”
“Good idea. What a rainy day!”
“Yes, it is. The trees will be dripping for a week.”

Drip… …Alzheimer’s / Dementia.
Fact: One out of every three seniors dies with Alzheimer's or another dementia-related illness. Fact: There are far-reaching effects on a family’s finances and emotional well-being.
“Yeah, yeah they are just trying to sell us that new mental health insurance garbage, right?”
Do you or know someone who has a loved one who is getting older?
“Looks like it.”
Be prepared, not scared. Call the number on the screen today.
“Infomercials are only good to a point.”
“I’m turning the channel. Whoa!”
“What happened?”
“I just dripped mustard on my shirt.”

Drip… …Diabetes.
“What are you reading on your iPad?”
“Breaking news about diabetes.
Breaking News: Blood sugar detection technology takes a leap into the future. The patient no longer will be required to provide drops of blood to test blood sugar levels.
This will be wonderful news for my dad.”
“Are you going to call him?”
“Yes, I will call him, after I forward this story to him.”
“I keep forgetting we got him an iPad for Christmas, too.”
“Yeah, he loves it. But he’s dripped blood on it already!”
+++
Drip… …HIV / AIDS.
“Hey, I just wanted to call and tell you Pastor Rick is back on television. He came out of the coma and is teaching on end times.”
“Oh, thank the Lord for healing him. I’m turning it on, now…he looks good.”
“And he has an even better message. When he was in the coma, he received a vision and call to preach Jesus’ blood and teach about the end time.”
The HIV AIDS Epidemic continues its lethal march around the world. The Bible is clear on this point: let’s turn to Matthew, Chapter 24, verse 7. I’m reading the King James Version: For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
‘Pestilence’ is defined on ‘Dictionary.com’ as “a deadly or virulent epidemic disease.” Notice that pestilences will come—and they are here—“in divers places”, simply meaning, these pestilences will not affect every person everywhere on the earth.
Nevertheless, let’s have compassion:
“Amen, Pastor Rick.”
“Hello… Bob? Can we meet for coffee? No reason; just want to talk.”

Drip… …Sin.
During His passion, Jesus allowed his life’s blood to be shed seven times, externally and internally for all of our diseases and sin.
He’s reaching to you now, friend.
Repent.
