You believe in God, yet you can not forgive?
Is this friendship in this day and age? To be so intolerant to intolerance that there is no such thing as unconditional friendship? The rules of keeping religion out of the picture left with writing group, my friend. You knew my faith when you decided to know who I really was. You knew that I wasn't always nice, respectful, and agreed to disagree. One little push which was not even a finger poke sent you over the cliff.
Fine.
Join the rest of religion with their smiles of sugar-coated arsenic, and don't let the pearly gates slam on you on the way out. You are not the first and you will not be the last by far. With a surface so easily shattered, it is no wonder that people have no faith in one another.
What would we do if Christ left us at the slightest offense? Could you have at least done the service of stating your own evidence against my questioning?
No. You ran.
You ran and I forgive you.
Now to forgive myself for being so offended. After all, it is not the good who enter heaven, but those who are forgiven. Thus, we end being offended, yet still go on with our lives without the other. We say "the season is over, have a nice day" and that will be that. In the end, we see the shallow hearts of our five minute friends at Church, telling everyone hello and how we will pray for them without uttering one syllable to Jesus. We sing, we praise Jesus, we pray to heal one another, and once Church is over nobody cares.
Beware of caring enough to tell them the Truth! They will disown you and gossip, saying that you have back slid. Offense is a grave sin in Christian Society, after all. If we are not one in our happy land of Kumbaya, we can not forgive people who sin and let them ruin themselves. Oh, just pray for them! If they are getting a divorce because something better comes along, that's not our business, is it?
Sure, let Jesus handle everything! It doesn't matter that he left the spreading of the Word to his disciples! If He wants to change people, we can just ask Him to and watch them from afar like a drag race where we know someone is going to crash.
With friends like us, who needs enemas?
With watchmen like us, why do we bother having wall to protect us?
Excuse me, but I am about to get sickening in your sight. I'm going to be like Jesus and turn a few tables. You can arrest me for the destruction of private property after the fact.
