Yes, I'm ashamed to admit it, but sometimes I am nothing more than a spiritual infant when it comes to the things of the Lord.
If I were to take a close look at my spiritual journey, I would see what a big baby I’ve been. The whining and crying I’ve done along the way does not speak well for my devotion and faith, and with all the crawling, toddling, and falling I’ve done – well there is just no excuse!
Since I can act like such a baby at times, I decided I needed my own Babysitters Check List, for my spiritual life.

In Case of an Emergency Read :
For Major Crisis: 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
For Medical/Mental Assistance: Isaiah 53:5
“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”
For All Urgent Situations: Philippians 4:13
"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthen me."
Additional Instructions :
Guidelines for playing inside: Ephesians 4:31-32
“Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.”
Guidelines for outside play: Romans 12:9-11
“Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.”
Bedtime routine: Wash face, clean teeth (no need to remove yet), hang up towel, turn off lights, say bedtime prayers.
Last, But Not Least Instructions:
How to deal with whining: Philippians 2:14-15
“Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.”
How to deal with full blown temper tantrums: Ephesians 4:29-30
“Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.”
In Case Of A Fire:
If these instructions fail, don’t forget that the opposite of heaven is . . . . Very hot!
