and I keep hanging on,
with every trial and failure
I wonder Lord “how long?”
How long before you come
and take this all away?
How long will you wait?
Lord can it be today?
I waited for an answer
you said “not now my son
there’s others who are searching,
their souls must first be won.
They’re searching for an answer
to a hurt, a need, a prayer,
how ever will they find it
unless you take it there.
You see, you have a purpose
upon this spinning ball,
to tell those searching people
I love them one and all.
I know that you are hurting
know that I once hurt too,
those nails that pierced my flesh
were really meant for you.
But I took them because I love you
no one would force me to,
with every hammers’ blow
my mind would race to you.”
With that His gentle voice
would slowly fade away,
and my courage was increased
to face another day.
So if you’re growing weary
from struggles, trials, and pain,
there’s strength to make it through
when you call upon His name.
We must have faith, and hope, and purpose
as we live among the lost,
for each of us is called
to lead them to the cross.

As mentioned above I believe I would leave a space between each verse making it easier to read.
