Unfortunately for me, somebody is! Before I can even count to ten, "Lucky" is already beside my bed, tail wagging excitedly in anticipation of doing his morning chore...fetching the paper.
Why I ever gave the little guy "newspaper duty" is beyond me - except it does take care of two birds with one stone, so to speak. Lucky goes out and tends to his personal business first, then sniffs around to check who's been on his turf during the night, and then on his way back in dutifully picks up the paper and proudly delivers it with energetic tail wagging.
"Good boy", I say drowsily as I take the paper, give him an affectionate pat on the head and crawl back in bed for a few more Z's.
If Lucky could read he wouldn't be that overjoyed about bringing such depressing news into our home. Yes, little guy, you're lucky you can't read! The News on planet Earth is distressing, depressing and violent to say the least. Every day we read and hear about....

Suddenly a peaceful calm comes over me as I see the word "WORSHIP" spelled out in the midst of all this chaotic horror of death and devastation. Worship is such a beautiful and comforting word and means the act of showing love, reverence, respect and loyalty to a Deity.
I believe the act of "Worship" is somehow ingrained in the very heart and soul of man. The act of coming together, en masse, with other believers to worship in peace and harmony is as much a part of human nature as eating, drinking or breathing - the desire and need to come together as one body to communicate and praise the Almighty for our blessings.
To worship God alone is no problem; however, when it comes to group worship, disagreement arises as to "where, when and what day to worship?" Some people go to the masque on Friday, others go to a synagogue on Saturday, and still others go to church on Sunday to worship their deity respectively called Allah, Jehovah or God.
"Who's right or wrong?" Ah me! Why do Earthlings make everything so complicated? Oh, for the wisdom of Solomon! is my daily prayer.
How can we be so confusing when our Creator is so orderly and precise? His planets and stars careen through space like clockwork and never deviate one iota off course. His Seasons come and go in proper sequence. His tides and ocean currents are always accurate, and His whole universe moves in perfect synchronized precision.
God also gave precise and exact blue prints, including length, width and type of wood for Noah's ark; ditto the Temple...even to the color and fabric of the drapes; and oh yes, He gave both Adam and Moses precise instructions for "When" and "How" to respect His "Rest Day" a.k.a Sabbath. Everything God creates is precise, exact and orderly.
To state it bluntly, God is Perfection personified; but mankind? We get befuddled and easily confused.
But not to worry, fellow Earthlings and Believers, the Bible brings Good News; "In the new Heavens and the new earth, which I will make...From one New Moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, ALL flesh shall come to Worship before me, saith the Lord."
What a wonderful promise to look forward to. ALL God's children coming together, en masse, on bended knee to worship our Creator. And guess what? Although we've never had any doubt as to "Who" we worship, neither will we have any more quibbling over who's right or wrong regarding time, place, or day of worship either - We'll Know for sure!
Right on the button, sure? Like perfectly sure?
No bones about it, friend! Accurate and precise as God Himself!
