Where all those weak and trodden down
Will find a place of calm and rest
And ever dwell among the blessed.
Their broken bodies mended now,
A crown of gold upon their brow,
Amid the never-ending throng
They’ll find the place where they belong.
The hungry ones will soon be led
To groaning tables where they’re fed
As guests of God. They’ll dine in style
And every face will wear a smile.
They’ll walk where peace and safety dwells
And all day long hear chapel bells,
Hear angels sing their songs of praise
While men of valor anthems raise.
And then The Shepherd shall appear
To gather lambs from far and near
And lay them down on silken beds,
To gently stroke their tiny heads.
The lost will find a place called home,
The wanderer will cease to roam,
And all who once knew hurt and pain
An everlasting joy will gain.
And dazzling beauty everywhere.
Oh, everything that’s bright and fair
The Lord of All will magnify
To feast upon with mind and eye.
But those who strive to mock their God,
Will know his wrath and feel his rod.
And everyone The Son has known
Will someday bow before his throne.

This also reminds me of the song "Heaven" by Michael English. So many promises in both that song and your poem. Great, great job.
