The server is down!”
Shouts echoed through the hall.
“How can this be?
We were scott free!”
“We were until there was a waterfall...”
“A waterfall, inside?
Who is going to loose their hide?”
“I don’t know, and I am not taking the fall.”
“So what did it look like?”
“Imagine a broken dike.”
“How can this be? Maybe the loss will be quite small.”
Solemnly the tech nodded.
As into the disaster they trotted.
“So we wait for the fate of us all.”
“No E-mail, no Internet?
How can this be? Is it fixed yet?”
A teacher bawls.
“Where is Rhonda?”
“Maybe she’s wrestling an anaconda?”
Conversations floated through the stalls.
“Is she answering the pages?
Why else is she being paid wages?
Why is it when she’s gone, everything falls?”
“What are we to do,
Without her to see us through?”
“We will carry on; we still have the phones in the walls.”
“Is there anything that we can recuperate?”
“All we can do is wait.”
“So... tell me about this waterfall.”
“A pipe broke,
Now, this isn’t a joke,
‘Cause it flooded the room and the hall.”
The two techies grinned
‘Cause they knew, they hadn’t sinned.
Instead, they revered the almighty waterfall.
