Wanting to spend time together just hanging out.
Hopeful and prayerful to encourage each other in our walk.
Available and eager to share joyfulness as well as sadness.
Trust and accountability.

Always offering to forgive.
Rejoicing in and praising God for his numerous blessings, especially the one of friendship.
Expecting only the best from each other, but gracefully accepting less.

Friends are forever with no strings attached.
Remembering God‘s love and loving each other because of Him.
Inspiring each other through our struggles to turn to Christ for direction.
Encouraging one another to study God’s word daily.
Never judgmental, only merciful and uplifting.
Depending on God to grow us in our friendship and our faith.
Speaking seldom, listening often.

Finding ways to bring joy and laughter into the relationship.
Offering a smile to cheer or a shoulder for support.
Reinforcing each other as we seek God’s will.

You really touched on the many components of a godly friendship in this poem. Friendships can be either selfish of unselfish. This was a reminder of how to be an unselfish friend.

There were a lot of great phrases in this piece. I especially liked the "gracefully accepting less" line. We should all aspire to be such a friend!

Finding ways to bring joy and laughter into the relationship is very important. It shows the thoughtfulness and unselfishness that are not so often found in many people.
