I really enjoyed this. I especially enjoyed the line: "Hold onto the memories of her and not her portrait." There were a few very minor grammar/punctuation issues. Over all, a very goo piece, and a great reminder to those who have lost someone dear to them.

This story moved me to tears. Probably because I DO understand the loss of a good mother, and the "missing" never goes away. Also, it takes a good writer to tell it so that the Reader feels it...and you did. Well done.
A beautiful tribute to a special mom! Written very well!
