The Bird Flu

The Bird Flu came after a space
a period of time before
that millions did waste.

It came from the East
a pandemic in size
and tore through the world
before everyone’s eyes.

Tears were shed and
screams filled the night;
the bodies were stacked
on the left and the right.

And God and the devil
were both given blame
as if each of them were
exactly the same.

But those that were saved
and acknowledged the Christ
though they too died
they went into the Light.

In the space of the moment
they took their last breath
and flew to Him in Heaven
not unhappy they'd left.

So in the space of this moment
while you still have the time
accept the Lord Jesus and
say he is mine.

Through bird flu or flood
hurricane or earth quake
a space in Heaven in yours
to await.

For when He calls
be ready and right
for the Lord is your shepherd
through every dark night.

Be at peace with your fate
whatever it be
know that we’ll all be together
eventually.

A nice poem. It all flows. Is the bird flu really that serious? It all seems like a bunch of hooplah to me!
Nice way of fitting the words space in though.

Yikes - the title caught my attention and the content kept my attention!

Well done. Although I sure hope you're wrong about how catastrophic the bird flu could be if it mutates so it is transmitted person-to-person, the fact is that no matter what the instrument, we're doomed without God but sure of salvation with Jesus.
