floating in pure azure,
looking down, begoggled
at beauteous sea grandeur.
A gentle kick propels me
past canyons deep and blue
where patterned fish flash round me
clothed in every hue.
The world of underwater
its colors and its shapes,
the sea's exotic creatures
in luminescent capes.
God's hidden place of wonder
beneath the ocean waves,
resplendent in variety,
abundance and enclaves.
Like underwater jungle,
rain forest of the sea,
colored trees and branches
diverse and growing free.
The coral keeps its secrets
protecting many forms
of molluscs, worms, crustaceans.
It weathers roughest storms.
God of the exotic,
Creator of the deep,
Painter of the creatures,
He who does not sleep ...
You're present in the dazzling,
you're there in the mundane,
in the pastel colored palette
of the everyday slow lane.
Thank you for the splendor,
the treasures of the earth,
creation's great magnificence
which you brought to birth.
Thank you for the daily things
the ordinary and plain
Majestic God of everything
I praise your holy name.
