or the mountains were formed,
I was brought forth.
As the anointed one, I was set up
from everlasting.
I am Alpha and Omega,
the first and the last.
When He prepared the heavens
and compassed the waters
with bounds,
I was there.
I placed lights in the firmament,
to give you time.
I am, the eternal
Word.
With undiminished divinity
I dwelt among you,
in perfect humanity.
I assumed the likeness
of your sinful flesh,
yet my consciousness
transcends, all time and space.
Before Abraham was,
I am.
Your time
cannot be measured.
It has no length,
no future and no past.
It is merely a dimension of space,
a present reality,
determined only
by depth of experience.
When I bore your sin,
in shame and ignominy,
The works of my hands
were shrouded in darkness,
as time,
slipped into eternity.
I was lifted up,
that you may know, that
I am he.
You cannot fathom
the depth of my agony,
for you are finite
and space bound.
My suffering was timeless,
and is therefore everlasting.
I am the Lamb
slain, since before
the foundation of the world.
I am coming quickly.
On that great day,
time as you know it
shall cease,
Day and night
will come to a final end.
