The Son fulfilled the Master’s plan
But mocked by elders and high priests
As He spread the Good News to all the land
Outstanding healings of young and old
Blind given sight and the dead were raised
But ridiculed by the Jews who did not believe
The Son continued His work, without due praise
Outstanding miracles performed for mankind
The masses were fed, and water turned to wine
All while false rumors spread of this carpenter’s Son
The Father lovingly smiled down as if all were fine.
Oustanding obedience, the Son followed the master plan
Nourished by meditation and prayer to our Creator
His loved disciples slept and denied Him at the end
But the Son continued to pray, at the sight of His betrayer
Outstanding love-unconditional, selfless, and free
Unthinkable suffering and bloodshed fulfilled His prophesy
Innocent man condemned, crucified, and died for our sins
He patiently waits for us to celebrate in eternity
