Ouch! That hurt, well in being a Christian I have found myself saying that line quite often. Could it be in the process of Christ taking care of the small aphids called compromises, Christ brought a little discomfort in my life? When HE does this HE still loves me but hates my sin. Which means even when a doctor wants to get rid of cancer there is going to be some discomfort. Well Christ did you have to do that? HE says sure, I am Christ and Holy. In my kingdom and anyone in it I keep watch of any sin and remove it from you. After all have you not read my Word purity is not an option it is a must. Matthew 5:8 (NKJV). Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see GOD. You sir don’t even need a revelation to decipher that.
On my part I can whine a bit but I feel secure that I am in CHRIST, GOD. Even when HE disciplines me and, removes those overgrown weeds I like to see as my friends yet they are against his commands. I have the security that well the SAVIOR is trying to protect me from me. Meaning sometimes due to my human nature I allow junk to dominate me. HE has to come down hard on me and sometimes throw me in a fire until that junk in my life is burnt. Well, HIS Word says Proverbs 3:11-12. My Son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD. Nor detest HIS correction. For whom the LORD loves HE corrects. Just as a father the son in whom he delights.
If there be any comfort in all that is that I am assured well CHRIST is watching me. Well for someone HE bought with HIS Precious Blood and HIS Life. The only Ultimate Savior really treasures me. As human in amidst of circumstances I fail to see my worth. But CHRIST sees me as valuable HE sees you reading this article valuable whether you feel it or not. HIS love never fails. No matter how much I am crumbled in sin and life HE still watches over me. Now how do you reciprocate Christ’s love for you, well just yield to HIM and surrender your life to the Eternal Potter and let HIM alone mould you. The Bible says 1 Corinthians 6:20. For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify GOD in your body and in your Spirit, which are God’s.
The problem we make as Christians is, when the Potter wants to mould us, we can’t stand it we want to run. Reason HE first smashes our life to powder, makes us afresh as HE wills. When the pounding is too much we want to take off to the world where anything goes rather than be in CHRIST. When we run we do not really now how much we are exposing ourselves for death and destruction. We have a free will chose to follow Christ or not. The Bible says the Spirit of the Lord won’t strive with men forever.
One prayer I dare any Christian to make to GOD is “LORD JESUS, pound me, pulverize me smash me turn on the heat no me, but don’t leave me.” Such a Prayer takes guts to say I have said it many times. And sometimes when HE pounds me in the process of making me it hurts yet I can’t even dare run away. That is called yielding. I follow Christ in good or tough times. The security I have is even though times are tough, HE REALLY IS WATCHING ME.
Hey, but there are good times. Remember the time Jesus Christ saved you and healed you of alcohol addiction. Or when HE came through with that supernatural provision you never even fathomed coming. Remember the time everyone at your work place turned on the heat against you and you went to the bathroom to cry. Then suddenly the Prince of Peace Jesus Christ came and rained HIS HOLY SPIRIT presence on you and you knew instantly you are not alone or when HE brought your spouse, son, daughter home. Philippians 4:4. (NKJV) Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say rejoice. HE really is watching you and me.
