Topic: Walk (07/20/06)
I have walked many places in my life. I have walked in many paces, stepped many steps and saw many things. There were times when I would almost skip with excitement and joy! Other times I trudged slowly, not sure if I could make it one more step. Other times I strolled along, content, enjoying the view. Sometimes, every other step I took I would turn around behind me, out of fear, afraid somebody was following me.
If I turn the pages of my life, and see myself walking along each path, I will see a large hand, holding onto my smaller hand. My Helper, Comfoter, Consouler and Shelter, and above all, Friend was at my side, even in the darkest times. He was the one sheltering me on those nights I felt alone and afraid. He skipped right along with me, in my joy! He uplifted my feet on the days I felt my feet would go no more.
Life is a long walk. There are days when the sun shines brightly and we are carefree and joyful. Other days it rains and we feel we can barely move. On all of those days, we have company. A faithful friend who is along side of us in our journey. He is at our right hand. And as we walk with Him, He leads us home.
