This monster is quite stout, but very loud, and items seem to disappear when it’s making whatever noise it is that it makes. Yes, it’s the vacuum cleaner.
Ever since my little guy was born, he’s had an awful fear of this big beast that I call a vacuum - that is if one can call a Shop-Vac a vacuum. So, whenever I take it out to vacuum the two rooms I can’t sweep clean (his bedroom and the entry room), he takes it upon himself to try to scare away the vacuum, and pull me away from it at the same time.
This doesn’t happen with anyone else. My husband can vacuum to his heart’s content and my son will just go about playing, a good distance away from the noise, but he has no fear about what that machine will do to his daddy. Maybe it’s because his daddy stands six and a half feet tall and weighs over three hundred pounds, or maybe he honestly thinks that it is his job - his purpose in life - to protect me from vacuuming.
Whatever the case, I’m proud to have a son that takes such good care of me, even at a year and a half. Hopefully, when he’s old enough to do chores, he’ll still think that it’s his purpose in life to save me from the vacuum.
