Well, God, thank you so much for the gift of prophecy. The words you gave me were phenomenal. Of course, I had to add further explanation to the body. I could have gone on for hours!
What are you doing?
Oh gee, God, thanks for the gift of sewing. Did you see the flags I made for you? I stand up in the front of the sanctuary waving them to and fro to help make worship more meaningful to the congregation. I just wish people would stand farther away from me so that I have more room near the altar and I can show them how I worship.
What are you doing?
God, I am sooo glad you gave me the gift of healing. People are lining up just to have me lay my hands on them. Some of them even fall on the floor, semi-conscious. The only problem is that they stay on the floor too long and others can’t get a turn.
What are you doing?
Guess what, God? I’ve learned to write. I sat down one day and there it was…a poem. Now, I can point out to others what they are doing wrong by writing a story or a book or even start a blog. How exciting! I’m a writer!
What are you doing?
I performed a miracle. We needed more food for the church supper and I just prayed and boom! We had more food than we needed. How amazing is that? It’s a good thing that I was there.
What are you doing?
Lord, the strangest thing has happened. On my way to church there were so many accidents, dozens of people wandering on the streets with blood running down their faces. I couldn’t stop and help because I needed to get ready for Sunday service. But the church was empty and no one came? I don’t understand.
Lord, answer me. Where are you?
Lord…Lord?
I gave you gifts to be fruitful for my Kingdom. The gifts of the Spirit produce the fruit of the Spirit. When did you practice my love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control? Your pen should have flowed with grace.
What about my Son? Did you testify?
As you have judged others, you will now be judged.
You are a resounding gong. I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoer!
