Oh, for the Spring of your lives, My beloved,
Children that walk joyful in the morning.
To turn from the last moment of the day’s ending,
Back to the first morning, as the eye is opened.
So soon have you wept, as joy turned to sorrow,
A day or a year, but a moment from eternity.
From within you was her being started,
In the first season was the bone formed,
And the morning was to bring great joy.
Gladly you looked upon the other,
And knew she was made for you alone.
In awe, you beheld your child bribe, in wonder,
Waking to see your helper before you,
Reaching out gentle hands to touch beauty.
You named her as your own, that first moment,
As you looked upon the desire of your heart.
You walked the garden, in the Spring time,
To show all you had found to the one beside you.
Dancing in the sunlight, you sang together,
Lifting voices in a loving melody of praise.
The sound of your words brought joy to My heart,
But so soon have you wept in sorrow.
In all that was done from the first morn,
Together you stood, in toil or play,
Sitting in comfort as companion hearts,
Or laying to rest in the warmth of each day.
Such joy to behold you, those first moments,
Love shown and shared in the gentlest look.
Contentment you found in the first spring season,
To walk hand in hand down each garden path.
Speaking to the animals, or a touch to a bloom,
Sharing the love of the One who form them all.
So soon have you wept, as joy turned to sorrow.
Yet an enemy cast down, in the garden brought lies,
Fruit of a tree forbidden, was shown as sweet to eat.
With that, the bitterness of life was known,
Which I would have held from My beloved children,
To spare the knowledge of things unknown.
Sorrow came in but the Spring of you life's season,
As shame filled your hearts at your turning.
In your knowledge you did not see your Father's love,
But the truth of a judgment that should not have been.
So soon have you wept, as joy turned to sorrow,
A day, a year, but a moment from eternity.
