The garden starts to bloom, the barren branches of trees began to sprout new leaves and all of nature begins to prosper.
I also liken the season of Spring to the spiritual new birth, at salvation, a seed was planted, and that seed went into hibernation. It had to die in order to live and bring forth the fruit of the Spirit. During this time of hibernation, that seed is being cultivated with the Word of God, “faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17. You see, we can’t physically see salvation, but it is our faith that saves us. Just like the farmer who sows the seed, who cannot see the process of cultivation while the seed is in the soil, but he has faith that the seed will produce a good harvest in it’s due season. We believe with our inner-man, our spirit that Christ died for us that we shall live because that is what the Word of God tells us, but we don’t just stop there, we have to keep the seed of salvation watered by hearing God’s word so that our Fruit will spring forth and others will see it and want to know. Good fruit produces new branches for more fruit.
As we approach the season of spring, shed off the dead weight of fall and winter and allow the Lord to refine you so that you can spring forth as pure gold reaping a good harvest.
