Pigs get a bad reputation because we usually think of them as living in a muddy pig pen with plenty of slop in their trough. It defies imagination that we seldom think of Porky Pig and Wilbur, you know, Charlotte's friend, and unbelievable Miss Piggy.
There are many pigs that are quite famous and apparently intelligent.
A week ago I was resting in my chair watching television and saw an officer stop a vehicle to give a ticket for a broken tail light; the driver was a pig, a well spoken pig. Why was that a surprise when so many other pigs have been in our cultural community for so long? Those pigs dance, speak words of wisdom, sing, shoot guns and many other normal activities.
The question arises about the possibility of pigs flying.
Aerodynamically pigs are not themselves shaped properly for getting off the ground. Their only appendages, other than four short legs and a skinny wiggly tail, is their ears; there is no way those ears are large enough to catch the wind current and lift their bodies off the ground; not it even if their tail could be made to act as a helicopter blade.
So is there a possibility that Pigs Might Fly?
Definitely there is a possibility; in fact there are two possibilities.
Pigs could possibly be given certification as a Pilot or a Flight Attendant, as was the pig driving a car also licensed to drive the car. I know it is true, I saw it on television.
Then there is the lesser acclaimed and less significant way: some pig owner may actually take their Pot Belly Pig on vacation with them to someplace to which they are flying.
In cases such as these, pigs might fly.
