Celebrities, the rich & famous, pop icons and royalty create a buzz wherever they go. Even when they try to get away for much needed “R&R”, and they’re in “private seclusion”, they find it difficult to escape the far reaching eye of the camera lens, as witnessed recently with Prince William and Princess Kate’s private moments shown world-wide. Many of the rich and famous hire publicists and managers to keep the fans informed of their whereabouts, book appearances on tv and radio, keep the gossip rags going on the latest info of their clients. What do these “stars” have that makes the world stop and pay attention to these stars? It’s called the “It Factor” or “X Factor”, that undefinable “something” that makes someone special. The problem with having “It” is, in the majority of the cases, “It” won’t last forever. Today, a star can be on top of the world, and tomorrow, on the bottom of the heap. Is there anything better to have than the “It Factor” or the “X Factor”? Yes. It’s the Splash!
The what? The Splash? You know who has “Splash”, is “Splash”, does “Splash” and achieved “Splash”? You know HIM. Consider the following:
He spoke at the beginning, and the most beautiful Splash (display) of Creation came forth in a span of six days.
Like wildfire, word of mouth splashed (advertised) that HE was passing through town. They came in droves to see HIM! To hear HIM! To touch HIM! With no paparazzi, no bloggers, tv or radio crews, no publicist, no Facebook page, no Twitter.
In His sermons, He splashed (promoted, proposed) the concept that a new government was being established – the Kingdom of Heaven.
He exhibited many splashes (signs) during His three year ministry that He was the Son of God, through healing the sick, raising the dead, feeding the crowds, walking on water, and many more.
When in hell He achieved the most decisive splash (victory) by defeating satan, death, hell and the grave.
And know He is seated at the right hand of the Father, with all splash (power)given to Him.
Who is He? By now, you know. It’s Jesus. Guess what? If you have accepted Him as your Lord and Savior, He expects you and I to have Splash too! He stated (publicized) in Mark 16:17-18 that these Splashes(signs) will follow us that believe: In His name, we will cast out devils (how’s that for a Splash?) we will speak with new tongues, we will take up serpents, and if we drink any deadly thin, it shall not hurt us, and we shall lay hands on the sick, and the sick shall recover!
I don’t know about you, the world can keep their “It Factor”! I want the Splash! I gotta have IT!
