With His staff, he draws me in.
He calls me by name, not
by number, not by section, not
by twitter, beep or phone but by
His gentle voice and the slightest
touch of His shepherding crook.
For He alone is the Good Shepherd
And he will not bear the loss
of even of His sheep no matter
how old, no matter
how small.
He will seek after us pulling us
in closest to, when we would
in the foolishness of our
own hearts pull away.
With His staff He leads and
guides His sheep. dividing and
driving all intruders alike away
who would cause undo harm
to His flock whether it be by
day or by night.
And at day’s end when the sheep
would enter into rest --
It is the Shepherd Himself who
opens the Door of the sheepfold
for all to enter in.
John 10:27-28 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. (KJV)”
