You put your foot down.
You gave me your right arm;
I put you under my thumb.
I had one foot in your grave;
You had a leg up on me.
You took some weight off my shoulders;
I took a load off your feet.
I gave you some lip;
You busted my chops.
You lied through my teeth;
I bit your tongue.
I lent you my ear;
You laid me some skin.
You put your nose in my business;
I put my finger on it.
I scratched your back;
You took me under your arm.
You kept your eye on me;
I had to hand it to you.
I gave you a piece of my mind;
You chewed my head off.
You bared your soul to me;
I took it on the chin.
I put your foot in my mouth;
It tasted like chicken.
