I have been really struggling with what I see within the Church as people hold on to their anger and refuse to let God heal them. It seems to me that no matter what is taught in churches people always think it applies to some one else but not to them. I often wonder when people have such un-forgiveness in their hearts why it is they refuse to let God heal them? Only God can heal a wounded heart.
Just think of some of the things that Jesus said: One day Peter came and asks Jesus this question, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Till seven times?
Jesus answered, “I say not unto till seven times but unto seventy times seven.”
(Matt.18: 2 – 22 KJ)
The story is about a servant who owed a large sum of money to his creditors and the creditor forgave him the whole debt, but than this same man went and found some one who owed him a small debt but could not pay him. He had the man that owed him a small debt thrown in prison until the debt was paid in full. When the man’s creditor heard what the man had done he called the man that he had forgiven and had him thrown in prison and tuned over to the tormenters until his own debt was paid in full.
Just look how plain this story is yet we just don’t seem able to let Jesus take the hurt and pain from us so we can forgive others; instead we end up being tormented. The pass is tormenting many people because they will not forgive others even though their Heavenly Father has forgiven them all the debt they owed to Him. When Jesus hung upon the cross and all the pain and suffering of the world was upon Him, His words at the time were: “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” (Luke 23:34 KJ) If He could say that concerning those who took His life even though he hung there for them, how much more do you suppose we should for give those who have sinned against us?
Un-forgiveness towards others brings us into captivity of the tormentors and only Jesus can heal the torment of our mind. Have you ever been so angry or upset about something that you feel like you are being tormented? If you get still for more than a minute all these angry thoughts come rushing into your mind. I have experienced this several times in my own life.
God has in His mercy given to us The Gift of His Spirit and a prayer language to enable us to pray His perfect will. Only The Holy Spirit knows and prays the perfect will of God when we are unable to pray.
For what man knoweth the things of a man except the spirit of man which is in him, even so the things of God knoweth no man but the Spirit of God. (First Corinthians 2:11 KJ)
Like wise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities; for we know not what we should pray for as we ought, but The Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groaning which can not be uttered.
And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of The Spirit. Because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the Will of God. (Acts 8:26 - 28 KJ)
How great and how wise is our God there is none like Him. He has given to us His Spirit and He will create within us a clean heart and renew within us with a right spirit.
Jesus said, “I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; (John 14:18)
Acts 2: 38 & 39
Repent and be baptized every one of you in The Name Of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of The Holy Ghost.
For the promise is unto you your children and all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. (Acts2: 38 KJ)
Thank You, Jesus
