Topic: Ohhh…. (02/04/10)
Ohhh I feel the rain
As it falls upon my face
Refreshing me within
As I'm bound to win the race

Ohhh I feel the wind
Sending shivers down my spine
Remembering past failures
That I gladly left behind

Ohhh I feel the mud
Slushing deep beneath my boots
Yet I will not fall nor waver
Standing firm upon my roots

Ohhh I feel the cold
As it embraces me inside
Yet my feet keep going faster
For in His warmth I abide

Ohhh I feel the laughter
Bubbling up from my sweet soul
They expected me to falter
But I'm shining fourth like gold

Ohhh I hear the thunder
As it roars so loud about
As the Earth begins to tremble
I know Christ is my way out

And when the storm is over
And the clouds begin to part
I don't need the luck of glovers
I have Jesus in my heart

Beautiful poem. I loved how you described every bit of nature. I'm not sure what 'luck of glovers' means, but the rest touched my heart. Good job.

Absolutely fantastic. I loved how you tied everything together. As long as we have Jesus the storms of life pass us by all because we are achored to the rock of life Jesus Christ. Thank you and keep writing. God bless.

An inspiring title for a very refreshing poem. I could feel the words washing over me like the cool gentle rain on my face and feel the determination to run through the mud and thunder with Jesus.

Lovely extended metaphor through this entire verse.

Quite note: You wanted 'forth', not 'fourth'.
I too, am intrigued by the 'luck of glovers'--must be a local idiom unfamiliar to me. I'm off to look it up--I love to learn new phrases!
