I know there is good and bad in everyone, but why does HE claim to be God?
I’ve heard Him say: “I and My Father Are One.” Oh! And “He that has seen Me has seen The Father”
Didn’t God say through the Prophet Isaiah: “I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside Me” or “I, even I, am the Lord, and beside me there is no Savior.” And the psalmist wrote: “Thou Whose name alone is Jehovah.” I know Isaiah said: “ His name would be called, Wonderful Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince Of Peace.”
But surely God would have a kind word for our Rabbi’s. They pray such long, almost pious prayers, and they give so much money to the Temple that it makes much noise when they put it in. Just by their faces you can tell they’ve been fasting and they keep all the traditions of the elders religiously. But this Jesus calls them Blind leaders of the blind, whited sepulchers. Aren’t these men ordained of God Himself. They have circumcised so many of us and buried so many. Whenever the Romans persecute us don’t they speak for us.
I thought the Messiah would be blameless, yet they say: “He is gluttonous and a winebibber,
who eats with publicans and sinners, and that He has a demon.
Mary who was to be my wife, left all to follow this Jesus;
and now, well my body has broken out with terrible sores, and the puss oozes out of them,
my skin is turning black and looks like it‘s dying, my hands and feet are losing their feeling,
there is this ugly disfigurement about them, and I can barely see.
Leprosy the priest called it and have pronounced me unclean.
I’m not sure why, but today I’m going back again to hear this Jesus,
“Father forgive me for what I’m about to do.”
I won’t be able to get close to Him, and it seems; well what’s the use; but I’m going.
What if He were to ask me if I believe? What would I say?
I’ve heard He’s healed just about every kind of disease
but, Elijah did that, and He never claimed to be God.
I’ll stay back here behind this tree so no one will see me.
They say He’s coming this way,
but well, I’ll just hide here till He passes.
Here he comes.
Did He see me?
He stopped and is coming my way.
“Father forgive me.”
“My son do you believe?”
“Sir I’m not sure what I believe, I’m so mixed up.”
“My son, I understand, don’t be troubled, just arise and be healed.”
His touch, I’ve never felt anything so warm,
and look my arms are no longer black or deformed, and the pain is gone.
Lord I do believe, I do believe,
Oh Thank You! Thank You!
“See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, show thyself to the priest,
and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.”
"Yes Lord!"
Wait, here comes Mary.
“Mary let me,”
“ I know, I saw it all.”
“Now I’ll lose everything in this world I hold dear,
I’ll be an outcast from my family,
my father will disown me
and I’ll loose my home.”
“John, come with me, and after we have seen the priest,
I’ll introduce you to your new family”
“Heavenly Father Thank You”
